Vida McCahey is a contemporary artist born in 1992 in San Rafael, California. She is currently living and working in the District of Columbia.

Vida draws from her traditionally trained skills in oil based paints and her passion for street photography to best tell the story of city life in DC. Her inspiration comes from the people and places one encounters day-today living in the District. 

The artist's medium of choice is heavy bold acrylic paints mixed with various glazes to replicate an oil finish; however, by using a water based paint her art carries a certain uniqueness to the viewer.
